About The club
From information technology to science, engineering and data analysis, coding skills play a crucial role in the economy. Coders work in the leading technology companies who have established operations in the world as well as in indigenous Global software companies. Gradient is the programming club of IIIT Sri City which promotes coding and helps students to sharpen their programming skills.
Aims and objectives
- To develop a better coding culture.
- Organise coding competitions and hackathons.
- Encourage students to participate in various coding competitions happening all around.
- Promoting various domains of programming and design.
- To promote peer learning.
- To encourage contributions to non-profit and open source communities.
- Understanding and working of global forums(Like stack Overflow)
- Guide All sorts of students towards competitive programming and help them improve their coding skills.
- Help students who are weak in coding by assigning mentors, providing proper resources, conducting sessions and also contests which helps them improve their coding skills.
Activities
- Intra college coding competitions - total 3 coding competitions in this year which focus on your problem solving skills and prizes for top contestants
- Interview Preparation sessions - Solving questions from top companies using leetcode premium.
- Webinars - Promoting Competitive programming and DSA
- Creating awareness on global programming contests happening outside which include ACM - ICPC, Google CodeJam etc
- Apart from these, the gradient club intends to conduct frequent weekend contests and a session every month focusing on competitive programming
