As the President & Chief Technologist for AWS, I currently drive transformational initiatives and Go to Market strategies through leading sales, partner teams, architects and deep tech specialists to deliver citizen scale impact projects.
My focus has always been on harnessing the power of emerging technologies and fostering high-performing global teams to incubate and build Next-Gen solutions. I created the Watson Internet of Things and AI Lab in Bangalore to drive innovation and transform businesses. Led strategic engagements to develop IoT/AI strategy and bring first of its kind innovative projects to large corporate entities. As the first IBM fellow in India, I also mentored & steered technical thought leadership within the industry.
Advocating the role of women in technology is also a deep commitment, as the first woman IBM Distinguished Engineer in India and receiving the Emerging Women Achiever's award from CII in 2011, the Zinnov Technical Role Model award for 2012, and the Woman in Technology award from eMERG, India, 2015.
With 14 patents and 4 IEEE papers, I frequently contribute to industry, academia, and technology forums, with a strong vision to enhance awareness of AI applications across society. This also led to co-authoring the book “AI for You- The new game changer', to provide a foundational understanding of the technology and its potential applications.
Overall, with a wealth of expertise in shaping advanced technologies and driving business imperatives, I work persistently to boost the applications of tech & AI in solving population scale problems and promoting wider appreciation for its transformative potential.
