About NSS At NSS IIIT Sri City, we're dedicated to community service and social responsibility. Our motto, "Not Me But You," reflects our commitment to serving others. We engage in a wide range of activities that benefit both our campus and the surrounding communities. From environmental initiatives to health awareness campaigns, we provide opportunities for students to make a real difference.

NSS offers hands-on experience in community development, leadership, and social awareness. Participate in tree plantations, cleanliness drives, blood donation camps, and educational outreach programs. Whether you're passionate about environmental conservation, health awareness, or education, there's a place for you in NSS.

But that's not all! NSS also provides opportunities to develop organizational skills, collaborate with peers, and make a tangible impact on society. Whether you're interested in planning awareness campaigns, conducting surveys, or implementing community development projects, NSS is the platform for you to grow and contribute.

Objectives

• To instill the idea of social welfare in students, and to provide service to society without bias.
• To ensure that the knowledge gained in the classroom is applied for the benefit of communities.
• To develop a sense of social and civic responsibility among students.
• To utilize students' manpower for national development and social upliftment.
• To provide opportunities to work alongside communities, learn social realities, and become socially sensitive individuals.

Summary of activities conducted throughout the year:

During the 2023-2024 academic year, NSS IIIT Sri City organized a diverse range of impactful events, demonstrating our commitment to community service and social responsibility. We kicked off the year by celebrating the 9th International Yoga Day, promoting physical and mental well-being among students and the Sri City community.

In our efforts to combat substance abuse, we actively participated in the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, organizing awareness programs and activities to educate our peers about the dangers of drug use. Our commitment to national unity was showcased through the celebration of National Unity Day, featuring a symbolic garlanding ceremony and patriotic addresses.

Our outreach extended beyond the campus as we conducted a Plastic-Free Campaign in our adopted villages of Ramachandrapuram and Thondore Society. This initiative not only cleaned up the areas but also educated villagers about sustainable practices. We further strengthened our bond with the community by donating educational toys to the Anganwadi School in our
adopted village, enhancing the learning environment for young children.

The Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2023 saw enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and staff, resulting in a cleaner campus and surrounding areas. Our commitment to environmental conservation was evident in our tree plantation event, which involved key dignitaries including a delegate from Japan.

In our fight against drug abuse, we organized the Nasha Mukth Bharath Abhiyan, featuring workshops, quiz competitions, and pledge campaigns. The year concluded with a successful Blood Donation Camp, organized in collaboration with the Youth Red Cross, contributing to the noble cause of saving lives.

Throughout these activities, NSS IIIT Sri City has demonstrated its dedication to fostering social responsibility, environmental awareness, and community engagement among our students, making a tangible difference in our campus and surrounding communities.
