With 7 offers, GoLive, a Hyderabad based Start-up gaming firm emerged as the top recruiter for the first passing out batch of 2017 at IIIT Chittoor, Sri City. L & T Technology Solutions, was the second largest recruiter picking up six students.
My Ally, another Hyderabad Start-up company was the third largest recruiter picking up four students while Cloud Data Center, Hyderabad has extended three offers followed by Hyundai Mobies ( R &D Division), Finsol Tech and Bangalore based Velankani Software firm two offers each.
Amazon, Via.Com, Societe general and Value Momentum have offered one each.Out of 53 2017 batch students, 10 students opted out of placement process as six of them are going for Higher Education and four others to take up their own ventures. Of the 43 interested, 28 students have been placed till now in jobs with challenging job profiles in their areas of interest.
More than 20 firms have participated in the placement process till now which includes four Start-up firms coming to the campus this year.
The Career Center of IIIT, Sri City in collaboration with the Talent Sprint has conducted a fifteen day intervention programme for UG 4 students who have not placed to enhance their over all nedds. The programe started on 3rd April with Mr. Stephen covering interview readiness and soft skills. Mr. Ismail and Mr. Satyaprasad have covered programming skills using C, C++ and Java from April 5th to 14th April followed mock interviews polishing their preparedness.
Mr. Asokan Pichai, Chief Product officer at Talent Sprint who is having three decades of experience in solid software development for Indian and Overseas clients had a lively open session with question and answers followed by sharing best practices of coding ad expterise in COBOL,Clipper C, C++ python etc. He exhorted the students that one should have skills Technical articulation or presentation. " Technical jobs are more in demand and core jobs are disappering," he said.
